Supporting Families offers free mental health and addiction support to family / whānau supporting a loved one. Our service provides education, information, advocacy, workshops, support groups, face to face / telephone support, a website, as well as supporting workforce development.
There are two Northland offices open Monday to Friday, one on bank street Whangarei in the Municipal Building, and one in Kingston House Kerikeri.

Whangarei Support Group

Are you supporting the recovery of someone with a mental health diagnosis or an addiction?

Supporting Families offer a safe place for Family, Whānau, and Friends to share experiences, gain practical resources and strategies, and hear from guest speakers with mental health and addiction expertise.

Kerikeri Support Group

If you are a family member, friend, work colleague, or a carer and you support someone regarding mental health, and or addiction then please come and join a support group in Kerikeri.

Learn about this great resource, forums to connect with other members, and much more. Come along and meet people in similar circumstances, share your experiences, offer support to peers, learn strategies, and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee.

Would you like the opportunity to:

  • Talk about how this impacts on your life?
  • Be provided with information about how you can help?
  • Receive some support to cope?
What:
A group for people who have whānau with alcohol and drug issues to come together to talk about their experiences and to get support.
