Supporting Families provides a safe place for families, whanau and friends of people experiencing mental health distress to share experiences, exchange information, gain practical resources and strategies, and occasionally hear from guest speakers.

Supporting Families provides a safe place for family, whānau and friends of people affected by mental health problems. Have the opportunity to share your experience, gain practical resources and strategies, and hear from guest speakers with mental health expertise. Building Resilience as Families. Identify your strengths as a family. Learn strategies to build your resilience within the family.
What:
The Family Support Group is especially for families and friends who are supporting a loved one with mental illness. It is a free group. Throughout the year we cover topics and invite guest speakers to provide specialist information to the families that are of interest to them e.g. Addiction / recovery, practicing self-care, setting healthy boundaries etc.
